Eager | I am a twenty year old college student business major in Augusta Georgia. For the longest time i never considered myself an artist (despite being a qualified musician of several instruments which i hardly play any more). Until recently i only considered things like painting, music, and literature art. I found my art in the form of my wood working and mechanical abilities which i use to craft prop replicas of things which amuse me mostly weapons and armor from video games and manga as well as original works which also end up being weapons and armor lol. I like to make things that turn out to be a challenge to me. by which I'm not referring to the difficulty or intricacy of the piece but rather the correct functioning of the item as it is in the original work. I like to take the complex, impossible weapons from pop culture and make them fully functional replicas of them (minus the lethality of coarse though few of them would even be genuinely combat effective anyway). I also like to add lights to things that in no way need them because, let's face it, lights make every thing look cooler lol. past projects include: A mostly full set of samurai armor made of sheet metal and cord and things. it put a custom made string of blue L.E.D.s under each shoulder and waist section. Bokunenjin. A large blue sword from okami. Made of wood hand carved with a dremel and decorated with blue L.E.D.s casting light down the blade. Nagi's shield from okami made of wood and lined on the inside edge with blue L.E.D. lights. Ike's vanguard class armor Fire emblem 10 made of fiberglass and accented with electroluminescent wire. Palutena's Bow from Kid Icarus made of wood carved down with a dremel. I made it for a friend's cosplay and I plan on improving on it later. |
